Okay I don't have much time to update (story of my life, right?), but I just wanted to share a few of my funnier moments in my quest to learn Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language).
While helping friends look for a place to stay for the year, I told the landlady that a "kamar kecil" (which literally means small room) would be big enough for each girl. I thought I was talking about small bedrooms, but then I realized that "kamar kecil" actually means bathroom. I forgot the "kamar yang kecil" (lit: room which is small)
I told the Headmaster of the high school I teach in that I was teaching the "Bahasa Asin" class. What I meant was "Bahasa Asing" (Foreign Language). Leaving off the last "g" meant I was teaching the "Salty Language" class.
The Polish kid in my class keeps forgetting that "j" is not pronounced like a "y" and vice versa. So when he says "Ya" it comes out "Ja" and when he says "saja" it comes out "saya". Okay, not too funny. The other day he read a sentence in Indonesian. He read "Dia baru makan saya" and the professor and I started cracking up. I couldn't stop laughing because I knew the sentence was supposed to read "Dia baru makan saja," or "He has just eaten" If you change "saja" to "saya" it becomes "I have just eaten him." I laughed for 10 minutes straight...
Ah, good times in Indonesia. I will update more later. I just wanted to give you all a laugh. Miss you all!!!

wow you're host family is really nice! i kind of teared up when i read that your bro gave up his room for your new sisters lol. that could possibly be due to the fact that i just read your message on facebook and got me all sad (sorry if this makes you sad). im gonna try to call you on sunday to talk to you cause ill be at dads where its semi quiet, but you probably won't get this message before then so oh well. but seriously sister, whats up with this in a relationship thing on facebook??? why do i know nothing about it?!? email me the details! you said you would a while ago but you never did. i feel all left out :( lol but it really does sound like you are literally having the time of your life. i bet you felt like you were in heaven at all that orientation thing with so many people from all over the world (again, literally). alyse is doing amazingly at her cosmotology school. she said she's doing the best in her class so thats awesome. kyle is super busy at work (and losing the weight loss challange that mom's side of the fam is doing haha). i think aunt becki is winning with like 10 pounds or something. everyone else is doing well and losing some poundage. tammy is just now getting better from being sick but she's great now. dad is the same old workaholic worrier that misses you every second of every day (as do all of us). mom, j.t., and paul are all doing fine. im going home today so ill get some more details on j.t. cause i feel like i dont even know him anymore lol it was weird tho, the other day we were im-ing eachother on aim! it was so weird talking to my 10 year-old brother on aim haha anyways sorry this is long, but i really wanna know about this relationship thing! we all miss you so much that our heads are going to explode so you might as well just get on the next flight home hehe sorry, you know me, i had to say it! love you so much sissie! and miss you possibly more! continue to have an amazing time, but not too good because you WILL be coming home in may or whatever no matter how good of a time you're having. and you can bring your boyfriend with you. ill allow it lol

Hi Sweetheart: Thank you so much for the emails and phone calls. I can't wait to talk to Robe next time I call you. His family sounds awesome and I would love to meet them!
News from home - I got a phone call from Vikki Kortanek last night - your dress is in. I will pick it up this weekend for you.
I'm so glad you are having the time of your life. It must be fun sharing a house with 6 friends of different nationalities. You guys should have an MTV show!
How about putting some pics on this blog the next time you update, which hopefully will be soon since it has been a month already!
J.T.'s best friend in the new neighborhood,Colton,is moving; his father got a new job in St. Louis. I feel so bad for J.T. Hopefully, they will keep in touch. Apparently, the deal is they are moving back in less than two years, but it won't be our neighborhood. I'm sad because I just love the whole family. Did you meet Colton's little 4 year old sister who is Chinese? Her name is Sydney and she is just adorable. Colton's mom Kelli is so sweet, and she and I have a lot in common. I will miss them.
Brandon had a big Halloween party last weekend. He really wanted me and Roni and Bob to be there, but we felt we might be out of place with such a young crowd. We did go. I was "Dr. Bridget" with scrubs, lab coat, a Dr. Bridget i.d. tag, and a stethoscope around my neck. Aunt Roni was a soldier in fatigues with mud on her face. Uncle Bob was a graduate with . . . you guessed it . . . Robby's cap and gown on!We had fun. After 2 glasses of wine, I think I danced to every song. Matt and his girlfriend Heather were there. They danced with me. Tara wouldn't dance with me. Kyle danced with me. Aunt Roni and Uncle Bob danced one song with me. It was a great party. I think Brandon was very happy with the whole thing.
Tara only has a month left at school before her big break. She has had tons of projects and she will really be needing that break.
Grandma and I REALLY want to come visit you. I am looking into it and will let you know, but please don't get your hopes up; I don't want you to be disappointed if we can't make it happen.
LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH AND MISS YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH.
MUM
